AM GRENZÜBERGANG zeigt eine unauffällige, stark befahrene Strasse im Zentrum Berlins. Nichts weist darauf hin, daß hier einst ein Grenzübergang von Ost- nach Westberlin war. Ein Grenzoffizier erinnert sich gut 30 Jahre nach seiner Dienstzeit an den Alltag an der Grenze, seine Gedanken und Gefühle beim Dienst. Die Argumentationen, Details und Widersprüche in den Geschichten machen das Monströse dieser Grenzanlagen umso deutlicher.
